Whoa! It's been a long time since my last update!
Don't be tacky enough to ask why. Those of you who know me already know the why.
Well, now, I haven't made my OSG computer yet, but I HAVE found some yummy treats for you:
Ghost Master is an incredible game that is kinda like mixing The Sims with Dungeon Keeper, but not REALLY. You can get the demo here, and don't tell me that you CAN'T. Fiddle with the URL like I did.
Basically, you control the ghosts, and your goal (among others) is to scare the morality out of the humans. You can cause them to faint, you can drive them insane (always a laugh), you can hear their screams, and you can even switch to their POV to see what they see (usually NOT a pretty picture).
One of the sorority girls is VERY a-scared of spideys, and I love nothing better than to wait until she's on the pot (or in the shower) and tell my minion to swarm and strike her. Jillions of spiders sweep and attack her (you can't see the attack). She faints DEAD AWAY, and then she runs screaming to the exit. If you catch her in the shower (they wear caps and bathing suits to do that), she'll run out of the house still wearing her shower gear--translated, that means she'd have been NEKKID. I scared her clean out of the house.
Yes, you get to scare the pants off the Ghostbusters--er--GhostBREAKERS, too. I LOVE this game. You'll REALLY love the names of the scenarios, the names of the victims, and the settings.
The other little goodie I found was Runaway. I missed the adventure game, so I bought this straight off the shelf (for only $30--new release!) to get a message from the staff asking us to keep the dream alive.
Ahh.
I'm all for cheesy voices in games, too, and this one delivers just that, although the home-grown music is pretty good. I just can't help feeling like I KNOW the lead voice on this one. He sounds JUST LIKE that guy in Circle of Blood. The story isn't original, but WHO CARES? The graphics are VERY good, and the puzzles are pretty tough. And it has DRAG QUEENS. Oh, my, YES!
Also, I'm trying to play Morrowind, but you've got to be devoted to that one. It's very much the masterpiece, and it's like being immersed in this world. It's the closest thing to feeling like your monitor is a window to another land. The challenge for me is to avoid gimping my character.
