I had to give Kingdom Hearts back to the rental store today.
*sigh*
After kicking the bejesus out of Ursula, too. She is just as evil as I remember, her and that big head of hers.
Oh, well. Zeus seems so anti-climatic after learning how to swim.

News #1:My Sims Online Disk has SHIPPED, WHOO HOOO!
News #2: Kingdom Hearts is pretty cool. I love Disney, and this is really like interacting with all my beloved Disney friends. I just LOVE the 100 Acres adventures.
I HATED, HATED, HATED being in that giant whale. Blech!
Question: So...what do YOU think the difference is between Caesar III, Pharoah, and Zeus is? Besides locale/pantheon, that is.

Oh man.
Guess who's getting to beta-test The Sims Online? Yup. ME!
I am SO excited about it. Muah ha ha. Only problem is that I can't share it.
Kingdom Hearts
Okay, so the game play is a bit cumbersome. I really hate chasing my munny around the ground. Whackin' bad guys is a lot like smackin' a pinata. You beat on them, then they burst, spilling out green health bubbles, munny bubbles (in various sizes), and magic (I think) bubbles.
I'm a Disney FREAK, so this game had a soft spot in my --heart--to exploit, and it did.
Great features:
Disney characters (like you remember them...even the voices sound good.)
Squaresoft characters (it's like a homecoming, I swear)
Donald is still as bad-tempered as ever, and you can hear him squawk when he's hit.
Eventually, you get used to the vines in the Deep Jungle.
Hades is STILL the man.
Bad features:
Limited magic field.
Game control not intuitive, and can cost you precious moments as you remember to move with the analog, switch menus with the joystick.
Too many ridiculous arcade-style minigames, which are really NOT fun and impede the story. I still can't figure out where some of my items are.
So, yeah...I'll probably buy this one...if only to save the Dalmations and visit Pooh.

Hey there, glitter toes.
I didn't update the code, and I didn't notice that someone had indeed written to me.
I'm a little behind the times...either that, or I was putting this off.
I saw the trailer for Kingdom Hearts. When it opens, I'm always a little stunned at how *beautiful* the graphics are. I watch as the show me the characters, and I'm thinking that I might possibly NEED this for Christmas...
...and they show me Donald and Goofy.
Goofy? In a Squaresoft game?
Oh, this just smells like suck.
I see the rest of the Disney gang, (even the less successful characters *cough, cough* TARZAN, *cough, cough*) and I wonder why the Emporer isn't there (loved that movie) and I'm wondering just how many Disney characters they can squeeze into one game.
I didn't know that the Nightmare Before Christmas was Disney, though.
I could be hasty, but I have the feeling that this game will be $9.95 in NO time.
